One of the benefits of being a HBF member is that you're able to join the National Customer Satisfaction Survey and HBF Star Rating scheme.
Conducted annually, the survey gathers feedback from new build buyers to assess home builder performance, drive improvements, and enhance customer service.
Participating home builders are awarded an annual HBF Star Rating based on the feedback received. The results of the survey and star ratings are published in March each year, with an awards reception held at the HBF Policy Conference for 5-star builders.

HBF membership detailsUnderstanding the scheme's rules
When joining the scheme, there are a number of rules that participating home builders must adhere to. These include:
- Complying with our logo guidelines.
- Agreeing to continue to publish star rating scores once opted into the scheme. Should a home builder no longer wish to publish, they will be withdrawn from the scheme and not permitted to re-join for at least two years.
- Not publishing their score or use promotional merchandise for unreleased scores until HBF's strict embargo is lifted each year.
